This covers unintentional allergen contamination, which is known in this country primarily as \u2018traces\u2019 labelling (\u2018May contain traces of xy\u2019). The aim is to establish uniform guidelines for the labelling of potential unintentional allergen traces in order to better inform consumers and ensure a level playing field for food businesses.
