Das \u201ePanel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies (NDA)\u201c hat am 16. M\u00e4rz  2017 den Antrag von f\u00fcnf europ\u00e4ischen L\u00e4ndern (D\u00e4nemark, Finnland, Island, Norwegen und Schweden) zur Erstellung eines ein wissenschaftliches Gutachten \u00fcber einen Referenzwert f\u00fcr Zucker offiziell angenommen.  Als Ziel wird formuliert: \u201eThe advice will guide Member States when establishing recommendations for the consumption of added sugars and in planning food-based dietary guidelines.\u201d Im Rahmen des Gutachten wird eine Betrachtung der gesundheitlichen Beeintr\u00e4chtigungen wie K\u00f6rpergewicht, Glucoseintoleranz, Insulin-Sensitivit\u00e4t, Type-2-Diabetes, kardiovaskul\u00e4rer Risikofaktoren und Zahnkaries erfolgen, wobei sowohl Kinder, Jugendliche, Erwachsene als auch \u00e4ltere Menschen mit einbezogen werden.
