<\/p>

Bez\u00fcglich des seit 2022 EU-weit geltenden Verbots von TiO2<\/sub> in Lebensmitteln (genotoxische Wirkung) erfolgte im Auftrag der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission eine Pr\u00fcfung zur Ersetzbarkeit von TiO2<\/sub> in Arzneimitteln durch die EMA (Europ\u00e4ische Arzneimittelbeh\u00f6rde). Fazit: aufgrund der hohen Bedeutung (funktional, Optik) f\u00fcr die pharmazeutische Industrie bleibt TiO2<\/sub> bis auf Weiteres als Zusatzstoff erlaubt. Damit soll vorrangig ein Versorgungsengpass vermieden werden, den ein jetziges Verbot mit sich bringen w\u00fcrde. Ein Verzicht ist, insbes. in Arzneimitteln, in denen TiO2<\/sub> mehr als eine Funktion erf\u00fcllt, nicht einfach umsetzbar und erfordert einen erheblichen Zeitbedarf zur Pr\u00fcfung der Auswirkungen von Alternativen auf die Qualit\u00e4t, Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit von Arzneimitteln. Daf\u00fcr ist zun\u00e4chst ein Zeitrahmen von 3 Jahren vorgesehen, entsprechend ist f\u00fcr 2024 eine Neubewertung durch die EC und durch die EMA vorgesehen. Der vorliegende EMA-Bericht enth\u00e4lt keine Aussage zur Nano-Problematik.<\/p>
