Guidelines and instructions for registration in the European Product Database for Energy Labelling (EPREL) are to be made available online and a helpdesk set up.
From 22 October 2024, suppliers that are legal entities must prove their identity and their establishment in the Union by means of a qualified electronic seal if they are obliged to register product models in EPREL.
Product models registered in EPREL by non-verified legal or natural persons as of this date will not be listed in the search results on the public EPREL website. If such a model is retrieved in EPREL by scanning a QR code or by other means, a note will appear stating that the model was registered by an unverified supplier.
The date of termination of the placing on the market of a product model must be indicated in EPREL no later than 90 days after the termination of the placing on the market.
