From 1 November 2025, cosmetic products containing vitamin A (namely retinol, retinyl acetate or retinyl palmitate) must be labelled with the warning "Contains vitamin A. Consider your daily intake before use." must be labelled.
Body lotions may contain a maximum of 0.05 % retinol equivalent (RE) and other products a maximum of 0.3 % RE.
The sale of goods previously placed on the market remains permitted until 1 May 2027.
