EFSA's Scientific Committee has updated its guidance on the risk-benefit assessment of food from 2010. The update takes into account methodological developments and regulatory requirements. While maintaining the stepwise risk benefit assessment approach, it provides additional methods for complex assessments, e.g. for multiple chemical hazards and all relevant health effects on different population groups.
