As part of the BfR's MEAL study (Meals for Exposure Assessment and Analysis of Food), the first overall nutritional study in Germany, the average occurrence of substances - including acrylamide - in various foods was analyzed. The highest acrylamide levels were found in vegetable potato chips. The BfR referred to this in a press release on 16.09.2024. In addition, a specialist article was written by BfR employees.
