The updated assessment values for allergens from the „Arbeitskreis Lebensmittelchemischer Sachverständiger der Länder und des Bundesamtes für Verbraucherschutz und Lebensmittelsicherheit“ (ALS) and the „Arbeitskreis der auf dem Gebiet der Lebensmittelhygiene und Lebensmittel tierischer Herkunft tätigen Sachverständigen“ (ALTS) have been published and now include the recommendations of the FAO/WHO expert group.
The new reference doses are as follows:
Soy remains unchanged at 10 mg,
lupin has been reduced to 10 mg (previously 15.3 mg),
celery has been reduced to 1 mg (previously 1.3 mg), and
mustard has been increased to 1 mg (previously 0.4 mg).
These values are reviewed regularly and published on the BVL website.
