The amendments to the “Guidelines for Vegetable Products” were published on September 27, 2024, as announced in the status report of the “Fruit, Vegetables, Mushrooms” expert committee of the German Food Code Commission on August 26, 2024. Some of the amendments are editorial in nature and supplement the designations and quality characteristics for tomato paste (guideline number 9.4). The publication in the Federal Gazette BAnz AT B2 took place on November 11, 2024. A consolidated version of the amended “Guidelines for Vegetable Products” was linked on the homepage of the Deutschen Lebensmittelbuch-Kommission (DLMBK).
